At Aesthetic Enhancements Plastic Surgery, board-certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Armando Soto understands that surgical liposuction is not for everyone; therefore, he provides CoolSculpting as a noninvasive alternative. During this procedure, a controlled cooling technique is used to specifically target and freeze fat cells. Once the cells are frozen, the body can then dispose of the dead cells through its natural elimination process. Candidates will personally meet with our team to discuss their aesthetic goals and develop their unique treatment plan, but commonly treatments are staged in multiple sessions. Results are visible within 3 weeks, but optimal results are evident within 2 – 3 months. This procedure is ideal for patients who wish to eliminate stubborn fat pockets in and around their abdomen, thighs, arms, and neck.
"Bridget and Amanda made a super weird and uncomfortable procedure quite easy! I was really nervous, but their calming manner and conversation relaxed me. The Geneveve treatment was completely painless and there was no down time. My significant other thoroughly enjoys the results as well."- K.M. / Yellowpages / Jun 26, 2017

"Bodytite with Lipo! - I work out about 5 times a week and try to eat healthy but with years of weight fluctuations and two children, it seemed matter what I did, I had the hip fat (muffin sides) and the back fat around my bra line (chicken wings). Dr Soto did Bodytite with lipo in June. He warned me up front that it would be a few months until I saw results. He was right (I’m glad he warned me) and I am so, so p..."- K. / RealSelf / Sep 08, 2018
During the Procedure
During a CoolSculpting procedure, patients should not feel any pain, but will feel slight pressure in the areas being treated. The practitioner will place the cooling device on the area of the body where the fat is to be removed. The device pulls the fat pocket up between the cooling panels, where the freezing process will ensue. Treatment will last about an hour, depending on the size of the area being treated. Following the procedure, patients can resume their normal day. They may experience some redness and tingling on the treated area, but this will subside quickly.
Plan Your Procedure
- Procedure Recovery Location
Yes. Cryolipolysis has years of extensive research and studies behind it, performed by highly skilled experts in dermatology and cosmetic surgery. CoolSculpting is a patented technology that has been tested, refined, and is now available worldwide. Studies show that with one treatment, patients experienced a 20% reduction in fat after two months and a 25% reduction in fat after 6 months.
How Safe Is It?
CoolSculpting works by applying a controlled temperature, targeting fat cells in selected areas for treatment. As it is noninvasive and applied only on the skin’s surface, there is no need for a recovery period, except for some redness that can last from as little as a few minutes up to a few hours. There may also be some swelling that may last for a week. Basically, fat cells are ‘frozen to death’ and the fat is broken down by the body and released in its natural process.
CAn I regain the fat cells?
Once the treated fat cells are eliminated from the body, they cannot regenerate. However, the remaining fat cells can become larger and increase the size of the body. Thus, it is important to adhere to an active lifestyle and healthy diet so the results achieved will be long-term.
Number of Treatments?
This depends. Multiple treatments may be recommended for those who have thicker layers of fat in the target areas. Depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals, the doctor may recommend one full treatment up to a number of treatments spanning a few months.
