Patients throughout the greater Orlando area visit board-certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Armando Soto at his Aesthetic Enhancements Plastic Surgery practice every year to receive brow lift surgery. This procedure focuses on correcting sagging upper eyelids and can even improve the appearance of bags underneath the eyes. However, brow lift surgery should not be confused with a forehead lift, as these are different procedures with varying techniques. A brow lift surgery tightens droopy skin around the eyes and brows to reduce wrinkles and fine lines while also creating a more awake and youthful appearance. Patients commonly report feeling more vibrant and confident after receiving this procedure from Dr. Soto because the results produce significant improvements.
"Bridget and Amanda made a super weird and uncomfortable procedure quite easy! I was really nervous, but their calming manner and conversation relaxed me. The Geneveve treatment was completely painless and there was no down time. My significant other thoroughly enjoys the results as well."- K.M. / Yellowpages / Jun 26, 2017

"So Happy I Had the Procedure - It has been 2 months since my procedure. Amy at Dr. Soto’s Office in Orlando, Fl did the procedure and she was absolutely amazing. She injected my armpits to numb them and the procedure took about 15 minutes each arm. She set the machine to level 5, which was the highest. I applied ice for the next 24-48 hours to help with the swelling. It was uncomfortable the day off due to the swelling but very little pain as I was still numb. The next day it felt like a had a terrible sunburn in my armpits and was pretty uncomfortable but by day 3-4 the pain was pretty much gone. Swelling remained for the next week and I did get some lumps that eventually went away. About 2 weeks in I went through the purging stage which lasted 1-2 weeks. Fast forwarding to now, 2 months later, I do not wear deodorant 99% of the time. The 1% of the time to do apply very little to my right armpit as I still develop a very mild odor on a hot day. Additionally I’ve notice my armpit hair is pretty much gone. I’m super happy with the results and will decide ext summer if I want to have a second procedure done."- L. / RealSelf / Oct 20, 2020
"Anchor lift with 255cc implants - best surgeon - Only doing a review because I lived on this site pre & post op, looking for similar procedures (and I chose the best surgeon ever, so he deserves a review). I've always had saggy breast, and what I thought was extra breast tissue in my armpit region. It wasn't until I went to see Dr. Soto for liposuction that I was informed I actually had a slight breast deformity - ptosis 3 tubular breast. Dr. Soto respectfully informed me why my breast were so droopy, and that liposuction would not help get the goal I was desiring. He instead explained he could perform an anchor lift which would result in a youthful, perky and pretty breast shape. I had other consultations scheduled after him, but after speaking with him and seeing his amazing bedside manner and dedication to safety, I cancelled the others & booked my surgery with him that same day. The fact that he didn't try to also push liposuction really made me trust him and his judgement - Vs other surgeons wanting to perform any & everything, only for their benefit. He definitely has your best interest at heart & is very realistic about getting you to your goal image/body. I ended up also asking him for implants to make sure I got the shape and fullness that I really wanted. I showed him goal photos, and trusted him to make the best decision based on my body. I think he said I would be around his 3,500 breast augmentation, and his work 100% showed his talent. He's a true artist, I'm still in shock at how amazing my results are!!! My friends and family don't even believe the photos I show them are actually me. I am only 6 weeks post op and they look better every day. Photos speak for themselves. I also looked through hundreds of results from surgeons around the country, and Dr. Soto had some of the best scar results I had ever seen. Being in my 20s, that was a huge concern of mine and I am so so happy I went with him. My scars are already barely noticeable and continue to face. I only wish I had done this sooner!! The entire office (nurses, PA, coordinator, front desk) is beyond sweet, always making you feel comfortable and going out of their way to accommodate you. After surgery, Dr. Soto saw me at least 5 times within the first month to monitor my healing - just goes to show how much they really care for each patient. If my friends & family ever need any work done, I will be sure to send them to Dr. Soto and his wonderful office!!"- K. / RealSelf / Sep 20, 2020
"Lower Body Lift After 3 Kids and 65 Pound Loss - I’ve always been a yo-yo dieter. I’ve also had 3 kids that spanned from 2004 to 2016. At my highest weight I was 215 pounds. Somewhere between 2016 and 2020, I lost about 25 pounds. In January of this year, I weighed in at 188 and I decided enough was enough. So I started my journey. It never even occurred to me to get a lower body lift at that point. I just wanted to lose the weight. Well, in July, I broke into the 140’s. I was so pleased with my commitment, however I was left with a ton of skin after the babies and weight loss. I have very fair skin and have been told the fairer the skin, the thinner and therefor more saggy. Of course! I decided to go see Dr. Soto, after having a few other consultations with other doctors. I don’t know what it was but I felt more comfortable that he knew exactly how to mold me. I had my Lower body lift surgery on July 29th so I’m now 5 days post op. The first few days were rough. The first night I had immense acid reflux that wouldn’t go away. They tried, I just have a history of acid reflux and I would usually control it with Nexium. Well because my muscles were stitched and tightened, it put on that extra pressure and the acid just traveled upward. This was actually the worst part the first day. I opted for the Exparel, which I think was a huge reason I wasn’t in immense pain. It lasted for the first 3 days and now I just take a painkiller as needed, which isn’t often. Another side effect I wasn’t prepared for was the phlegm. It’s a side effect of the anesthesia but once you get that tickle in your throat, it’s very difficult not to cough. Coughing is not fun when you’ve had your muscles fixed. However, sometimes it’s necessary to rid yourself of the phlegm. On day 5, it doesn’t hurt as much as it did on day 2. So my biggest complaint up to this point has really been the acid reflux. I’m trying to learn how to control it with the foods that I eat. I’m instructed not to drink water and to opt for the fruit juices and Gatorades (something that won’t wash away those important electrolytes). Apple juice proved to be an acid builder so now it’s just Gatorade. It’s all trial and error for me right now but I wanted to share my first before and after photos with you all. Dr. Soto and his team have been very helpful, as I have had a lot of questions along the way. I was so sure he would have to do liposuction, however he did not and I’m still very pleased with my new body, even as heavily swollen as it is. I cannot wait to see my final result! You will see a pic of me at 215, then a before surgery body pic at 149 and then 1 day post op."- F. / RealSelf / Aug 03, 2020
The incision techniques used during a brow lift procedure depend on the severity of sagging, the skin condition, and the hairline location. There are classic incisions, which may be located on the upper eyelid, or a coronal incision, which runs from ear to ear underneath the patient’s hair. A less invasive treatment is possible with an endoscopic brow lift.
This surgical technique places the incision along the natural upper eyelid crease or the brow’s hairline. The focus is to trim away excess skin and tighten the remaining skin and underlying tissues to create a rejuvenated facial appearance. The weak tissues will be reattached to the brow bone by sutures or attached with temporary tiny hooks placed internally where the muscles will cling and heal into a new position. This treatment doesn’t simultaneously resolve any issues of wrinkles on the upper forehead.
Coronal Brow Lift
An incision that hides the scar within the hair area is the coronal brow lift. The cut is made from one ear to the other, running along a few inches above the patient’s hairline. The eyebrows are then repositioned to correct the tired, aging appearance by pulling the muscles up. With this technique, the hairline is also positioned higher. The results are typically subtle, just enough to stretch the droopy eyelids, but not lifted too severely, which would result in a shocked, wide-eyed look.
Endoscopic Brow Lift
The use of endoscopes gives way to less invasive treatments. During an endoscopy procedure, several small incisions, no longer than an inch, are made close to the hairline. A tiny camera at the end of a thin tube will be inserted to allow the surgeon to operate via a monitor. Other tubes are inserted that will perform the necessary surgical steps to correct the cosmetic problem. Sutures are placed underneath the skin to help lessen the scars. The healing from this technique is quicker compared to the classic brow lifts.
A brow lift is performed under general anesthesia at an accredited surgical facility. It can last between 1 to 2 hours. Patients are sent home after surgery and advised to limit movement for up to 2 days. There will be some bruising and swelling that may be present on other areas of the face, such as the cheeks. Patients will be able to go back to a normal routine within a week. Strenuous activities must be avoided as it may affect healing. It is quite normal to feel as though the face is out of symmetry, but within 3-6 months, patients will see the optimized results, and look and feel younger with a rejuvenated outcome.

Brow Lift FAQs
Facelift vs Brow Lift?
The plastic surgeon will initially evaluate the problem areas on the face and recommend the best approach. A brow lift enhancement is confined within the upper area of the face while a facelift also improves the appearance of the lower area of the face including the chin and the cheeks. Depending on the severity of the wrinkles and the sagging, a full facelift may be a better approach.
The ultimate aim for a brow lift procedure is to give the face an appearance that is fresh and youthful. With this surgery, the plastic surgeon is an expert who ensures that results are subtle enough so that it doesn’t look surgically treated. An experienced facial surgeon will have a thorough understanding of the internal structure of the face and will create results that are natural and prevent a wide-eyed or hyper-alert look.
Is Botox A Better Option?
BOTOX is a nonsurgical cosmetic treatment that targets forehead wrinkles. While it does an exceptional job of smoothing out lines and wrinkles on the forehad and around the eyes, it does not correct drooping of the skin folds around the eyes. Depending on the patient’s case, BOTOX is worth trying initially to see if this treatment satisfies the patient’s aesthetic goals. If BOTOX does little to the cosmetic issue, then a brow lift may be considered. Many patients benefit from a combination approach using surgery and BOTOX to attain the desired outcome.
Because the incisions are made in areas that can act as concealer, often the hair or natural crease of the face, scarring is generally not obvious. The doctor will make sure that the incisions are carefully placed to minimize the effects of scarring.
