"Bridget and Amanda made a super weird and uncomfortable procedure quite easy! I was really nervous, but their calming manner and conversation relaxed me. The Geneveve treatment was completely painless and there was no down time. My significant other thoroughly enjoys the results as well."- K.M. / Yellowpages / Jun 26, 2017
"I Have Never Been So Happy! - Dr Armando is truly a perfectionist. He did such an amazing job on my Mommy Makeover. I waited 20 years for this procedure and I never expected to be this happy. My abdomen was a mess and I was so insecure it affected so much of my happiness. He has restored my confidence and I have the cutest belly button! Best decision I have ever made to choose him as my surgeon."- J. / RealSelf / Jul 23, 2020
"So Happy I Chose Dr. Soto! I ended up with 300cc’s moderate plus profile under the muscle - Dr. Soto is an amazing surgeon. His before and after photos caught my attention when I was searching for a plastic surgeon and after my consultation I knew he was the one! I booked the same day and had my surgery two weeks later! We discussed the results I wanted to achieve and the different options for the surgery. I ended up with 300cc’s moderate plus profile under the muscle with the incision in the crease under the breast. I wanted them a bit bigger but unfortunately my skin was too tight to stretch to my desired size. I don’t blame Dr. Soto for that though, he gave me a size that would fit my body and got me as close to my goal as he could. I emphasized I wanted fullness and cleavage and he definitely gave me that. On the day of surgery he asks for a photo of your desired results so he can get as close to it as possible, and I love that approach. We didn’t talk cc size at the consultation and I appreciated that because it’s so easy to get caught up with cc’s when really the same size implant will look different on everyone. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Soto, everyone told me he was the best in Orlando and I wholeheartedly agree!"- M. / RealSelf / Jul 22, 2020
"Dr. Armando Soto is amazing! - During my pregnancy with my beautiful son I unfortunately gained more weight than my skin could handle and I was left with stretch marks, loose skin and stretch marks all over my abdomen. I visited several surgeons but as soon as I met Dr.Soto I just knew he was the right surgeon for me. I had my Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift surgery with Dr. Soto July 1st. Leading up to the surgery I was extremely anxious, worried and I had panic attacks for days before the surgery. When I got to his office the morning of surgery I was extremely nervous, but he calmed me down so well and made me feel confident. Every staff member of his was very comforting, attentive and knowledgeable. And I loved his anesthesiologist too. I’m only 2 days post op and I look amazing!! My breasts look absolutely perfect, he has exceeded all of my expectations. When they took my binder off I saw my tummy and even though I’m very swollen, I already love my results. My scar is very low, and my belly button looks amazing. I am so so so glad that I put my trust into him. If you are considering getting a TT or breast lift, I highly recommend Dr.Soto. I’m looking forward to healing completely to see my final results, but as far as I’m concerned.. he’s made me beautiful!"- P. / RealSelf / Jul 03, 2020
"Wonderful experience from booking my appointments, first consultation, pre-op, surgery day, post-op, and follow-up appointments. All of the ladies in the office are wonderful. Dr. Soto was so nice and made me feel very comfortable discussing all of my questions and concerns. I also really liked having their app that I could ask questions and would always get a quick reply from the nurses. The entire office truly cares about you. I would highly recommend (and already have) and would trust Dr. Soto and staff with any other surgeries I may have in the future! I am so happy with my results! "- Anonymous / RateMDs / Jun 23, 2020
Types of Chemical Peels
The superficial peel is the mildest peel option that targets the upper layer of skin. Commonly, a diluted glycolic acid is used and left on the skin for several minutes. The doctor will then neutralize the acid to keep the peel at a mild level. There will be slight redness after the treatment, but typically there is no downtime compared to the other peels available. On average, patients will peel for about 3-5 days with this treatment. Patients may need several treatments to achieve the facial look they desire. On average, this is also the least expensive among chemical peel treatments.
Medium Depth Peels
A medium chemical peel treats more than just the top layer of skin. It penetrates deeper to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and skin irregularities. The procedure uses a stronger solution in the form of Trichloreacetic Acid (TCA). The acid will be applied in a controlled condition to manage and limit penetration, and the acid will be neutralized to stop the effects of the peel up to a certain point. The recovery time following a medium peel is about 10 days and patients will need to plan ahead for a short recovery period. This peel costs more than the superficial one, but the results are a bit more dramatic.
A deep chemical peel is the most aggressive approach in chemical peel treatment. It is considered a more invasive procedure and in some cases patients will need general anesthesia. The substance normally used is called phenol and it aims to treat severe skin wrinkling, deep scars and facial irregularities. Once a patient undergoes a deep peel, it is not advised to have another one. The recovery period may take up to 14 days and the area treated will be bandaged as the wounds are comparable to second-degree burns. The results following a deep peel are usually excellent. The disadvantage to this peel is that there is downtime and it costs significantly more than a mild or medium depth peel.
During/After the Procedure
The chemical application for a peel follows similar steps. The only difference will be the type of acid solution used, the amount applied, and the period of time that it is left on the skin. Once the chemical reaches the target skin layers, a neutralizer will be applied to immediately stop the effects of the acid. Downtime depends on what kind of peel is done. There is no downtime for mild peels but for deep peels, patient will be in a healing process up to 14 days. After the treatment, it is important that the patient allow the peeling process to occur naturally and do not assist in peeling or pulling at the skin. It is also extremely important to avoid sun exposure for a period of time after the treatment.

Chemical Peel FAQs
Depending on the peel used, there may be some general discomfort. With the lighter peels, patients will feel some stinging but it goes away quickly with the use of a handheld fan. The peeling process itself does not cause any pain. Medium and deep peels are more painful, and thus skin medications and antibiotics may be used to assist with any discomfort.
Peel or Dermabrasion?
Dermabrasion is a facial rejuvenation procedure that treats surface irregularities, giving the skin a softer appearance. Dermabrasion works in many ways similar to a chemical peel. The difference, is that dermabrasion use surgical tools (a rotating brush or shaving instrument) to remove the top layer of skin through a surgical scraping process. A chemical peel uses a caustic solution that is rubbed into the skin. Both techniques result in a brighter, smoother complexion.
Other Options For Me?
There are many skin treatments to consider depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals and skin condition. Chemical peels promote new skin regeneration and is best to treat skin irregularities. For facial conditions in which wrinkles are significant, a BOTOX or injectable filler may be a better option. There are also a number of laser treatments to consider as well.
