What is MicrolaserPeel?
For those struggling with the texture of their skin, a MicroLaserPeel can be a beneficial option. This state-of-the-art procedure removes a thin, outer layer of damaged skin in order to reveal newer, younger-looking skin underneath. Its popularity is due in large part to its ability to function at variable depths, ensuring each patient is able to be treated according to their exact needs. Dr. Armando Soto performs MicroLaserPeels at Aesthetic Enhancements Plastic Surgery, his practice located in Orlando, FL.
"Bridget and Amanda made a super weird and uncomfortable procedure quite easy! I was really nervous, but their calming manner and conversation relaxed me. The Geneveve treatment was completely painless and there was no down time. My significant other thoroughly enjoys the results as well."- K.M. / Yellowpages / Jun 26, 2017

"Brest Augmentation - AMAZING!! - I have had small boobs my whole life (until now) and it always made me self conscious.. I always told myself when I am financially stable I’m going to do something about it. I was referred from a friend who’s starting point was similar to mine so I booked a consultation. I had originally planned to check out multiple facilities but when I visited Dr Sotos office the staff was amazing and Dr Soto was so genuine. I asked him “what cup size do you recommend” and he simply said..I will make them look beautiful and you find whatever bra fits. I loved that. I showed him some photos the day of the procedure and asked that he make them as big as possible but still natural and fitting for my body type. Which is exactly what I got!!! I’m in love and I have absolutely no regrets. Now I’m 5 months post op and my scars are almost non existent and they look natural!! Thank you so much Dr Soto!"- R. / RealSelf / Dec 11, 2020

"So Happy I Had the Procedure - It has been 2 months since my procedure. Amy at Dr. Soto’s Office in Orlando, Fl did the procedure and she was absolutely amazing. She injected my armpits to numb them and the procedure took about 15 minutes each arm. She set the machine to level 5, which was the highest. I applied ice for the next 24-48 hours to help with the swelling. It was uncomfortable the day off due to the swelling but very little pain as I was still numb. The next day it felt like a had a terrible sunburn in my armpits and was pretty uncomfortable but by day 3-4 the pain was pretty much gone. Swelling remained for the next week and I did get some lumps that eventually went away. About 2 weeks in I went through the purging stage which lasted 1-2 weeks. Fast forwarding to now, 2 months later, I do not wear deodorant 99% of the time. The 1% of the time to do apply very little to my right armpit as I still develop a very mild odor on a hot day. Additionally I’ve notice my armpit hair is pretty much gone. I’m super happy with the results and will decide ext summer if I want to have a second procedure done."- L. / RealSelf / Oct 20, 2020
Is MicrolaserPeel Right for Me?
This treatment is designed to aid in the removal of many types of damaged skin and can be applied almost anywhere on the body. For instance, many patients choose to have their face, neck, chest, or hands treated during the procedure. Skin imperfections that can be treated by a MicroLaserPeel include:
- Mild wrinkles
- Sun damage
- Pigment irregularities
How is MicrolaserPeel Performed?
The procedure uses thermal energy from a laser in order to safely remove a thin layer of skin from the targeted area. This eliminates dead and damaged skin cells that are only serving to make the skin look old and tired. Depending on the size of the targeted area, as well as the severity of the skin affliction, the treatment usually only takes between 15 – 30 minutes. As time passes, the skin will heal, and new healthy cells will replenish the affected area. Typically, this results in smooth, youthful skin with less wrinkles and improved color.
While great results can be had after just one session, some patients may need to return for multiple treatments in order to completely rejuvenate their skin. Dr. Soto will work with you to create a treatment plan during your initial consultation if he believes you may require more than one session.
What to Expect After MicrolaserPeel
Immediately after the session, the skin may appear to be dehydrated. This is entirely normal and the skin should peel off during the days after the treatment. During this time, patients may also notice redness, irritation, or mild swelling, but these side effects should also subside within just a few days. In fact, many patients feel well enough to go back to work within just 3 – 4 days.
It's important to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun until your skin is fully healed, as the treatment area will be especially sensitive to UV rays until that point. When you do have to go outside, you should always remember to apply sunscreen to keep your skin protected.
